This collection of images will be added to later but in the time frame I had with my grandad these were the amount of images I was able to take. This week I will ask him if I can photograph more where I will capture more about his daily life and home. My nan and Grandad are very close to me physically and emotionally as they live 8 doors away from mine and I basically see them every day. For this reason I decided to pick my Grandad to photograph for my extented project because he is very interesting in the sense of his hobbies, past-times and home life. Some of the images focus on light, some on colour and some on the deeper meaning of the composition; for example, the images where he is sitting in his car link to his lengthy career being a royal chauffeur driving people like The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Diana and many more royals. Sadly he doest have his old jaguar anymore but he still views his car now as special, as he told me. Next is the image on the left, we was coming down from the loft after taking some images and I really liked the lighting almost streaming out of the entrance and around Grandad where it illuminates him and creates a shadow on the adjacent wall. Leading lines litter the images with the loft support beams, the ladder staircase, the opening to the loft and the shadows all around leading to the centred subject. The rest of the images are random images with a lack of intentional meaning although they all showcase what is going in his mind because they are all his idea. The spontaneous weirdness which made him jump to 'lets stand next to a skeleton hold a candle stick and be in the loft' intruiges me and displays the abstract thoughts Grandad has.
